Octave Notation (8va)

The Octave Notation (8va) visual aid provides the definition of an octave, instructions for how to play music when octave notation is used, and musical examples of notation for playing an octave higher and/or lower.

For the Elementary level student.

Visual aids are a great way to visually emphasize and reinforce lesson materials.

Use visual aids as:

• a teaching guide in individual lessons
• a study guide for students to keep in their piano binders
